Okay. First off hello to all. Sorry if this is in the wrong section but to me it seemed the appropriate place to ask the question. I'm planning on building a new gaming computer that can handle basically any game that can be thrown at it right now. I am looking to spend around $2500 USD. To save time and keep this as short as possible I will list out what I currently have.

Keyboard Logitech G15
Mouse Logitech G5
Monitor 24" LG
Case Lian-Li PC 80P

Thanks again in advance guys and if this needs to be moved to a different channel or section please let me know.

So...?

You need parts suggestions or what?

Read the Attention System Builders sticky for an idea of what a mid-high end build looks like at the moment. For gaming you're looking for a fast dual core CPU and a fast graphics card, usually determined by what resolution you play at. Include that information in your response, formatted in the way described in the other sticky thread from Blain, laying out your needs and situation.

Sorry about that. I actually just read and was coming back here to edit my post. I do a lot of video editing and photoshop and game heavily as well in my free time. So the computer would be used for all of the above. I've been researching for quite a while now and basically just need some advice in parts as far as quality to price ratio. Bang for the buck type thing. Intel and Nvidia fanboy if that helps out with the thread as well.

Have you sketched out a basic idea of what parts you're looking at? If not, there are a lot of suggestions in the Attn Sys Builders sticky.

Thanks again in advance guys

MB - Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3R (uses TI firewire controller, best for video input)
CPU - Intel Q9550
Cooling - Thermaltake CL-P0114 (gets air flow blowing onto MB, helps keep components cool)
RAM - Mushkin 996587 (4GB / 1.8v)
Video - MSI R4870 T2D1G OC
HDs - 150GB VelociRaptor (OS & Apps), 1TB WD Black (storage for video & pics)
PS - PC Power & Cooling S75QB (750W)
Sound - HT OMEGA CLARO Plus (I don't care if the MB has onboard audio... A $2500 PC needs a quality dedicated card)
Keyboard - Bella DV (for "a lot of video editing")
Power - APC LE1200 (line conditioner to keep power clean for PC)

BTW, Is your case actually a Lian-Li PC-P80?

Now use the sticky for formatting your needs, and the other and Blain's rather generously given advice (he doesn't do this for just every thread you know) and come up with some ideas to bounce off us.
