I probably would of forgot to order that.

That sure would have sucked. :)

I suggest posting your build in the General Hardware forum (if u havent already) and see if they can knock down the price a little bit. The more you can save on the rest of the components, the more you can spend on a better GPU.

Have you checked out the weekly Fry's ad?

They always have CPU/Mobo combos for dirt cheap.

X1950GT was launched mainly to Asian market. Newegg has a branch website in Shanghai, China. There are several brands of X1950GT in Chinese market now priced at $110 to $120. I do wish Newegg could lower their Sapphire X1950GT to $110 without rebate.

I made a post on the general forms, and when I was writing it the:

BIOSTAR TFORCE 550 Socket AM2 NVIDIA nForce 550 MCP ATX AMD Motherboard - OEM
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813138026R

When Out of Stock. Was going to buy it Saturday. Hopefully the general board comes up with a good suggestion (no luck on the MB forum [no responses for 2 days])

As always, I am open to your guy's suggestions. thanks!

Sorry, I couldn't check back after suggesting that you post your proposed build, but it looks like you've been getting some good advice.

I think if I was in your shoes I'd go with the Biostar Tforce/3600+/Buffalo/X1950GT combo. What kind of psu do you have btw..?

I never knew ECS and PC Chips are bad. Right now ECS mobo running great for 2 years now. PC Chips is also good with Althon XP 2400+
Always test mobo when you buy it if not refund it.

I would love to get the Biostar, but the OEM was is out of stock, and the retail is a bit to pricey.

I will be putting in a Cooler Master 430watt psu.

I might end up having to get an ECS or PC-Chips MB.

I have a question. The 30 MIR on the Video card disappeared last night. I am ordering this today. Has this just expired? or is there still some way to redeem it?
