Got a bargain on a Phenom quad core 9750 at frys and a cheap Ecs AM2 board, was wondering If I could use this old ATX 12v P4 Tricod Power supply instead of having to buy a new one. It comes with an old 20 pin power connector but I bought a 20 To 24 adaptor so I can plug it into this newer 24 pin motherboard. My question is do you think this is a good Idea and a way to save some bucks or a disaster waiting to happen.?? Is it strong enough to handle a Pci express Card??
Here are the pictures of the power supply in question.

I appreciate any info thanks. If the majority say its a no go I will probably buy this one from New Egg cuz its a good price and good reviews.
