I am looking for a fairly large scale inventory control system to keep track of computers and their peripherals in various office buildings. The type/model of the component should be noted, and such things as O/S, and programs installed might also need to be jotted down. The main purpose is to find out what equipment is in what room, and track it when it gets moved to a different room/user. Anything from using PDAs to barcode scanners are a possibility. Thanx for any advice.
