Ok after using my 733 Mhz PC for the past 2 1/2 years I have decided that it is time to upgrade the old beast. The following is what I am looking at purchasing...

CPU
Either a 2.26 Ghz or 2.4 Ghz 533 Bus CPU.

Which would be a better option for getting the most out of overclocking?

Memory
One stick of 512 MB PC2700 DDR RAM.

Would PC3200 be a better choice?
Should I even consider RDRAM instead? I am thinking no because of 1) the price and 2) it doesn't seem to be worth it.

Motherboard
Either an ASUS or ABIT (leaning more towards an ASUS because of their stability).

I haven't the foggiest what type of MB I should get for my CPU and Memory, does anyone have suggestions as to what MBs (from those two companies) are good for my combination of CPU and Memory (value, features and stability) and why?

Do I really need a MB with RAID support, I have 2 I think ATA100 HDDs?

Case
And finally the case, the only thing that is worrying me about the case is the power supply. Will I need a 250W, 300W or 400W or whatever power supply for my needs?

Currently this is what I will be moving from my old rig over to my new one.

SB Audigy with internal controls
2 WD 40 Gig HDD
1 DVD 16x Pioneer
1 CD/RW Sony
1 TV Tuner card
1 Network Card

What power supply do I need to power all of that along with the CPU?

Thank you for your time and help...

The 2.26 has probably better money/quality. But if it isnt about the money go for the 2.4. About those others I dont know.

Update
Ok after a quick look around this is what I am planning of getting

Motherboard: ASUS P4B533-E
Memory: 2x 256M PC2700 DDR RAM
CPU: Intel 2.4 Ghz 533
Case: 300W Midi Tower Case

The questions are now...

1) Is 300W enough for my equipment?
2) ASUS's site doesn't mention of the MB supporting 2700 RAM but only 2100 RAM, will 2700 RAM be fine?
3) The ASUS MB supports AGP Pro, is that backwards compatible with the current range of cards (planning on getting a GF4 soon or maybe hold off for a GF5) and my current ASUS card v6800?
4) Is 2.4 or 2.26 a better option for overclocking?

Thanks.

You're choise sems fine.

1) It should be enought but it will limit your upgrade ability.
2) It will work fine
3) It is backward compatible only to agp 4x cards. I'm not sure aboutyour Asus card working in it.
4) Lately the 2.26 have been a lot better than overclocking than the 2.4
