I recently sold a motherboard on the FS/FT. It was brand new.
It got there I believe in 2-3 days.

**Edit , it shuts off while it's booting into windows**

He seems to be so eager to just return the board tho.

There are I believe that can also cause this because it has happened.

1. Memory ( Compatibility )
2. Power Supply.
********
Other list of probs
** faulty os install **
** Possible other incompatibiltiy **

Now it seems that the buyer is pretty set on getting a refund.
My asking price was 55 + shipping but I sold it for $55 shipped.

1.Now he is demanding a refund, without considering the fact of incompatibility, and is even asking me to pay the return shipping. ( I don't believe I am responsible for return shipping ) anyone else think otherwise ?
2.**Also do I subtract the amount of shipping from the original sale ?

What should I do?

**EDIT**
Alright if the Motherboard is Indeed faulty I have no problem giving him a refund. I'll deal with the RMA and what not.
It really doesn't seem like it's the motherboard to me, It gets passed the CMOS and starts booting windows.
I really do think it's a compatibiltiy issue with another device.

He just seems so bent on returning the board without seeking a remedy.

Drive to his house and punch him in the pee pee.

Or tell him to try another OS.

yeah....

overheating?

He doesn't think it's the CPU overheating. He said he worked on another board that he bought or something.
So I do think it's either the power supply or the memory.

If a motherboard was faulty it wouldn't even boot, am I off ?

It would be strange if the motherboard held up until the OS booted, then shut off.
Why does he say it isn't overheating?

Does he have the speaker hooked up? There's usually an alarm for a thermal shutdown, I think. And most people omit the speaker.

I dunno
he says it just shuts down. He doesn't think it's the CPU cuz he tried the CPU on the other board.
I do believe the MSI does have LED's that give off what type of problem it could be.

He can pay to ship it to you and refund his whole purchase amount if you find the board to indeed be bad and you will have to eat the original shipping costs.

If you find the board not faulty, refund his money, about $45 is fair for shipping and handling it and he still has to pay for it being shipped back to you.

you have 128 positive heatware reviews, if he wants a refund, just give it to him, the $55 he gave you

he should pay the shipping back to you since he wants the refund so bad without trying harder to troubleshoot the issue

If the board is bad, I wouldn't have a problem with giving him a refund.
The thing is It seems like a compatibility issue.

What happens if it works fine ?
It was a brand new board, now used.

Kinda screws me i think.

take it back, just refund what u got, no return shipping both ways.
talk him into bearing a little loss since he won't do anything to troubleshoot it.

I told him that I will take the board and test it.
If compatibility is the issue, I aint gonna take it back. I sent him a brand new board. Why should I receive a used one.
Compatibility is the buyers issue not mine.

I offered him that I will test the board. If I find it to be faulty, I will refund him his purchase price.
If I find it to be working fine, I will ship the motherboard back to him with the shipping charges on him.
