I purchased 2 watches online (from 2 different sellers) and they both had delivery confirmations on them.

First package I have tracked this package closely using the tracking number. On Monday this week, it showed as delivered at 5:00 PM. Great!!!
I come home at 5:30 and I find that the package is not there. Huh!!! WTF?

2 possibilites :
A) Delivery guy never dropped the package.
B) Someone stole the package from my doorstep.
(I live in a secure neighborhood and I get my UPS/FEDEX packages correctly.)

I still assumed that it is probably B) that happened. So I put a notice on my door for the delivery guys to drop it in my garage rather than leave it on the doorstep.

Second package Shows delivered on Wednesday. I come home I find no package but I find a slip at my door which says I can pick up the package from the post office. I was thanking god that atleast my package is safe.

Next day morning, I go to the post office and they look at the slip, but they are unable to find the package in the post office. I go again this Saturday, but still they are unable to find the package.

I have lost $180 in both packages. Both were un-insured. Damn!!!!

I have a strong doubt on the delivery guys, especially with my second package where I have the slip which USPS left at my door, but no package in the post office.

I want to file a formal complaint and make myself heard. I am being screwed royally for no mistake of mine. Any advice on what should I do / how should I go about it?

I purchased those items from ebay and paid using paypal. Besides, the sellers were very good and understanding. Not their fault.

Yes., but what the 2 packages that I lost. What can I do about those?

They will look for them but if they don't find them, you are out $180.

My friend's mother had a problem with USPS, she called the federal postmaster. She personally got a call from the federal office and from her local post office the NEXT DAY, both apologizing (sp?) for their screw up. It was something simple too, like they didnt hold her package after leaving a note like your situation. The only difference is that they returned the package to the sender. The sender then resold it (QVC) and couldn't give it back to her because they ran out of the one time only item.

Pray and hope that either there is a mistake or the person who stole them gets a conscience. Other than that nothing.
