Here's the deal. I have an old PyxScape from a couple years ago, 17" 25ms, tons of light leakage (but only visible on pure black screens, so it's not too huge a deal).
I have two options here at this point:
1) Get the Princeton SENergy 17" LCD 16ms w/ DVI support (kick ass!). It's about $225 with the $75 rebate going on (don't PM me about it, go search on hot deals & fatwallet). I can get this now, because in about 3-4 months or so, I'm gonna build a new system that will have a GeForce 6800 GT which has DVI out.
OR..
2) Wait for the prices to drop on widescreen LCDs. I really like the widescreen display.. lots more workspace, and it always rocks when a game supports 16:10 aspect ratio (most games do).
Any advice?
EDIT: PS: If anyone knows where to even get widescreen LCDs for a decent price, let me know. All I know of is the Dell 2005FPW, which I really can't afford.. probably too huge anyway. 1280x800 native resolution would be good enough. 1920x1200 would be cool but it would have to be at least a 19" LCD probably for me to not strain my eyes.
