I am currently a senior studying Computer Science. I'm going to be out with a B.S. degree in 5 months and I don't feel I'm ready for anything.

Sure I've done projects assigned and have done programming on the side, but when I read job descriptions.... I don't feel what I know can actually help a company.

Did anyone go through this? What's your advice?

I went through it. I dunno, but the stuff I'm working on is way easier than the projects I had to do in school! I don't think you have to worry about it...everybody thinks the same thing....but i've never heard someone quit cuz they didn't know what they were doing :p

Dont worry you will initially get put in a position you cant screw up and that no one else wants to do ;)

The first 3-4 years of my career i was stuck doing VB programming. Currently I am senior developer on a logistical modeling simulation that is being written C++. This is the first job I have had where I am getting to use the things I learned in college.
