For those of you who use the thumbs forward grip, do your thumbs actually end up almost completely parallel to the slide, or slightly pointed up? I find that mine end up pointing up in order to have contact with the gun. However, I read from an article that it should be parallel. Which one is right?

Also, should the strong hand's lower (pinky side rather than thumb) meaty part be gripping more towards the back of the pistol, or the diagonal?
