Need advice from anyone who has ever set up/attended a LAN or simmilair type event

So I was thinking of holding a Halo 2 tournament and I was interested in know what sort of things I would need.

Obviously Xbox's and plenty of TV's, but what else would be good to have for everyone to enjoy themselves and this thing to go well? I am looking for any and all advice, personal opinions, things you would do.

Thanks

I used to attend and host all kinds of XBox LAN parties and the essentials are, aside from the Xbox's and TV's are just pretty much a wack load of food that everyone will like (pizza, wings, that sort of thing) and drinks of course. It's also a good idea to make sure you have lots of room for everyone to be setup comfortably. Something I always forgot was to have all kinds of blankets and pillows ready for people when they wanted to crash; if that ever ended up happening, haha. For the food an drink situation what I usually did was just to collect $5-10 from everyone for a ton of food and that way I didn't take the entire bill - cause that would suck, big time.

Oh, and make sure to have a couple routers, tons of network cables, and several extension cords/power bars for everyone to get set-up.

Have the network ready. Don't set stuff up when people are there, or something will probably go wrong.

Have it all planned out: If you're doing tournament style, have a bracket prepared, and just write teams on it, or something like that.
