It's a direct flight so no transfering. I have the original boxes for the LCD and case. There's some space in the boxes where I can stuff some towels but are there any other precautions I might take to ensure they'll arrive safely? Perhaps bubblewrap the outsides?

If you have some experience(s) please tell me what you did.

Thanks!

I had all my pc's shipped to and from germany when I was stationed there and had the movers packed them up. Was nothing special, just pack them really good so there is no movement in the box. If it really worries you that much just take it as a carry on if possible.

The original boxes should be fine. Stuffing towels in will probably help.

You can get a harness that lets you carry your tower. And for LCDs you can even just bubble wrap and put it in your luggage. Ive done that on 4 flights and ihaven't had an issue.

Thanks for all the great advice. The LCD box might make it as carry-on but the case will have to go with all the luggage I guess. I'm glad I kept the original boxes while living here in Tokyo. It'll be good to hook everything up after I get home next month. Thanks again!

You should ask those gamers that travel from Europe over to the US for gaming events like CPL (NiP, SK, NoA). They bring their computers using something that makes it easy to carry...it wraps around the case & brought together by velcro? As for the monitors I think they just rent one once they get here.
