Need advice for CPU upgrade for this MB...

I have a GA-M57SLI-S4, and was looking at the X2 6000 as a small cheap upgrade but I also see some other CPU's, a bit better that may fit and work here any advice as to which other CPU's I can put in this thing to get a bit more life out of it.
for example I can get this one http://www.microcenter.com/sin...tml?product_id=0287990 for about 10 bucks more than the X2 6000..

1. is it compatible
2. is it worth the price.

Hmm, that's unusual. Gigabyte's support page says that only the Phenom X3 8600 is supported, but that's an 8650. I wonder if it's still compatible?

They do list several Phenom X4 **50s though, so it's confusing. It'd probably be a better choice than a 6000+ assuming it's compatible - not as fast, but an extra core and L3 cache.

I have the 2.0 version shich shows it supports the 8650 cpu, think Im gonna pick it up and gie it a shot.
