I want to buy a nice 2.1 speaker set mainly for music(I don't play too much game). Headphone jack is a must have, and my budget should be around $150. Suggestions?

For the best reproduction of audiophile music, check out the Diva Swans M200 for $200. They are a class above multmedia speakers and can handle plenty of clean bass. That is, if you're looking for a full soundstage with transparent blending, realistic highs, and undistorted accurate bass.

I own the Klipsch ProMedia 2.1s, and I am very pleased. I recently purchased the $30 Monster Cable upgrade for the ProMedia 2.1s, and this has really helped the clarity and precision; it is most noticeable when watching a high-quality music DVD, such as ?G3 Live in Concert,? or ?Dave Matthews Band: Listener's Choice.? However, I have noticed even larger flaws in my MP3 collection =) The Diva Swans are nice as their transient highs are incredible, but they are not worth $200, IMHO. The new Cambridge Soundworks' MegaWorks 210D are great as well, however, they were never retailed - the 5.1 version (510D) are the best multi-speaker system I've heard to date. However since the focus of the thread is 2.1 with headphones, the best PC speaker system I've ever heard is the VideoLogic Sirocco Pro. They are simply unrivaled by any PC speaker set, and even very few home theater speakers can defeat the absolute clarity offered by the VideoLogic set. However, the $900 entrance fee is prohibitive to even the most critical and wealthy of audiophiles, which is the exact reason I don't own these wonderful speakers. I enjoy my Klipsch ProMedia 2.1s, and the headphone output is loud and clear. The $150-$180 asking price is very reasonable. Enjoy.

Thanks, guys. Seems I will go for the Promedia 2.1 for its superb sound quality. However, I can't find the headphone jack from the pictures of the ProMedia 2.1 on newegg and many other sites. Am I blind?

Look on the speaker with the preamp ... (control pod). It'd be on the RHS of that control pod.

JYA -
I don't know what kind of price range you are looking for, but for about 40-50 bucks, you can get the Logitech z340's. I got some of those for a computer I built for someone, and it is well worth the 50 bucks. The only thing I didn't like was the analog volume control on the right speaker was a little hard too tight. Other than that, it delivers some very clean sound (if you want a home audio system, look elsewhere... but for a bookshelf system these will do the job!) and it has the handy headphone jack on the right speaker. Good luck!

My 4.1's don't seem to have one....though we may *both* be blind :)
