Need advice for 500-700 buck system.

Guys,

I am looking for advice. I am getting married (to a Detroit Teacher) in two months so I am basically broke with all the wedding expenses. I have a Intel q6600 and a Radeon HD 4850 that worked AWESOME for the last 5 years. My goal is to reuse the following and update my desktop.

Keep the following.
1. Mid-Tower ATX Case
2. 600 Watt Corsair PS
3. DVD R-W drive
4. 256 Micron SSD (Sata 3)
5. Sata Cables
6. DVI Monitor
7. 1983 PS2 IBM Keyboard
8. USB Logitech Gaming Mouse

I need your guys advice replacing the following with my tax return. I love playing games on steam and Mechwarrior Online.
1. Intel Quad Core q6600
2. LGA 775 Mobo with 4 gigs DDR2 RAM.
3. Radeon HD 4850

I am guessing that I will have 500 bucks from my tax return. What would you guys recommend that I purchase?

Does the following look like a good PC?
1. A10-7850K Kaveri 4 cores/Radeon R7 - 185
2. 16GB DDR3 Memory 2 dimms. - 165
3. ASrock FM2A88X Extreame6+ Motherboard 105.

Is this a good system replacement?

I switched to a cheaper motherboard, and swapped in an overclocked (and more overclockable) 750ti.

What exact Corsair PSU do you have... if it's 5 years old, you might want to think about replacing it...
 
I wouldnt bother with 16GB. Windows is inherently so unstable that it will probably crash if you have more than 8GB of RAM in use anyway so why bother with 16GB? That's a bit tongue in cheek but even so the money is better spent elsewhere.

I would go with this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131981 It has the PS2 port you obviously want. With two sticks of 4GB you're at $220. As for cpu and gpu you should spend at least 50% more money on gpu than cpu. So you can buy the cheapest i5 then put the rest into gpu and still be under your $700 cap.

It is a shame nvidia has not released a more powerful maxwell gpu yet. Finding a gpu will be the tough part.
 
Microcenter has great combo deals. I live 73 miles away from one and in LA traffic not great. When I go I make sure that I know exactly what I want and buy only that otherwise I have to make a return trip. The traffic sucks but the store is great. All that electronics to peruse at one's leisure.

The ASRock Z87 Pro4 also has a PS/2 port for the keyboard.
