I am switching from an asus a7v mobo and athlon cpu to an asus p4 s533 with p4 cpu. was wondering if I will have to reformat and reload win xp pro? any help would be greatly appreciated
 
😉 Windows and esp WinXP should cope with it, just be sure to install the latest mobo drivers once you change the kit over ... of course do back up as there's no guarantee and even if it seems successful you may find you have the odd quirk. A reinstall of the OS is a good idea but not always necessary ... in fact it seems changing a gfx card is harder for Windows to deal with than changing the mobo LOL!
