I'm considering changing the fan in my power suppy to a quieter fan. Any suggestions or precautions? I'm replacing it with a panaflow 80mm fan.

Unplug the psu and let it sit for 30 min. Be sure not to touch any capacitors. Take your time....

Ensure that the fan has enough clearance before you plug it in. I plugged mine in & it ran for about 5 min. without the fan spinning (caught on a circuit board), got real hot, but still works.

Like john said. I usually let mine sit for a couple hours though. Then, make sure you don't touch any capacitors because they will send a jolt through your body like you wouldn't believe (might even kill ya).

Thanks for all the advice. I unplugged the psu last night and changed the fan this afternoon. It used the same 2 pin connector as the panaflo so it was easy.
