Or rather, that doesn't. I have to replace my vacuum cleaner. I have a Dirt Devil that just won't do it's job. I have an English Springer Spaniel, and his hair keeps clogging up the brush. Then the brush jams and I have to fight with it to get it to work. No I don't jam it up by vacuuming the dog, nor am I considering getting rid of, shaving, or using Nair on him ;)

What I would like is a vacuum that, well, sucks. Haven't a thousand bucks to spend on one either. Is there one you would recommend?

There are a lot out there that are about $60 - $120 dollars that are pretty good. I don't have that much yet to spend on one (so I'm using a Eureka SuperBroom... more like SuperCRAP). For the dog hair, I'd recommend one with a HEPA filter, and bagless would probably just be easier on you in the long run. That's getting up there in price, but at $100 or so, you could find a real good one that would do the job.

Best Buy has some decent prices. And with the holidays coming up, sales are sure to help the cost.

Best of luck!
