Need Advice...802.11 PCMCIA or USB device w/integrated drivers (TRUE PLUG n PLAY)

Does anyone have any suggestions on any particular brand of pcmcia/usb 802.11 device that self loads the drivers (ie, has them built into the device... so no driver cd or download is necessary).

At work we have a conference room that we want to make wireless adapters available to clients/vendors when they come in, so they can just plug in the adapter and go, without preinstalling anything (translation... I want to idiot proof the process). Because if they have to preinstall anything, inevitably somebody will screw something up.

I think I've seen USB bluetooth adapters that work this way, but don't recall 802.11.

Thanks in advance for any insight, suggestions, links...etc.

I dont think thats possible
but what I have seen is usb wireless devices that have an inbuilt 64mb flash disk or something.... hence the drivers are included on the flash part

another idea is to pre load a plethora of commonly used drivers and say you support X brands

Thanks for the reply xsilver.

I had thought about the preloading idea, but that wouldn't work on visiting laptops. I suspect your mention of the combo flashdrive/bluetooth or 802.11 is probably the best route.

Most current model "business grade" laptops should already have wireless built in (I'd imagine), so this may be a non issue, but its nice to know whats out there.
