I just installed a new Abit BD7 motherboard and it will not boot. The Post Code LED says A7, but I can't find that code in the manual. Anyone know what the code means?

I was going to DL the manual but since ABIT's sites not supporting it and not allowing it to be DL'ed It will be a time before can tell you

The common faqs on Abits site lists the codes, however this code is not listed in either the manual or in the FAQ.

I'd suggest your write them and ask.

hi
im not sure if this is right and has to do with your error code but i remember reading on a forum that you have to really push your ddr memory hard into the mobo, try it just in case
good luck

Hey I get the A7 code after I hard reset from the 26 error code.
This happens when I overclock too much

But if I take it back down to around 133Mhz, all is OK...This is on the BD7-RAID
The strange thing is that with the same CPU, I have successfully ran at 148Mhz on another BD7 (non-RAID). I just can't seem to go pass 135Mhz on the RAID board.

and with pushing the RAM hard, I noticed that I had to push hard with the Kingmax DDR333 RAM that I have, but with Hyandai DDR266 RAM, I didn't have to use any excess force to push the RAM in.

Does anyone know where's the Unofficial ABIT BD7 FAQ site?
