Need a wiring guide for monitor cable.

My brothers monitor connection went bad. So I am going to solder a new one for him. But I need a guide to tell me what wires go where. Anyone happen to know of where I can look for one?

If the cable is still connected, draw a diagram before you disconnect it. 🙂
 
Standards do not exist for the connection on the monitor side. You would need the actual monitor?s schematics. Most manufactures consider these confidential.
 
I am replacing the monitor's end of the cable. I got it working, though I need to redo it. I missed a couple of grounding lines and thus image quality is subpar.
