Need a wireless solution for a desktop pc

Hi!

I recently setup a computer for a friend and due to limited budget I used one of my old usb wireless adapters. It worked great in my house, but for some reason at hers it doesn't work very well. I get full bars but the internet barely works at all. It is definitely not the router as I tested my tablet in the same location and got great speeds.

Can any of you recommend a good wireless adapter to use in such a situation?

It might be a/b/g/n issue and Router's settings, or countless of other varaiables.

Since you have "no time" to provide tech. info you might have the time to buy a Good USB card that will fit any scenario.
