The are far too many forums now and the list on the side goes off the screen which is a major pain. But if I remove certain forums from that list to save space, then I'm completely removing my access to those forums. I can't go there manually from the main forums page, I can't follow a link someone posts that goes to that forum etc.

The category list on the side should be just a listing. Removing something from that list should jsut do that, not block it completely.

Now if I get a link that goes to one of those forums I have to modify my options, add that forum back in, view the link, go back into forums, change my options backs, etc. Major PITA. But for forums I visit once per year, I don't want them taking up space on the side menu.

i totally agree. can this be implemented? i remove the topics i'm not interested in but if someone posts a link, i'm blocked access to it. anyway to let us simply remove the topic without it being blocked?

why does it need to be blocked anyway? i removed it, why shouldn't i be given access to it when i want to without going to the prefernces and unblocking the topic?

Exactly. I still haven't read any of the new moderator stuff because it's in the Personal Forum Issues area which I don't need so I removed it from my listing. Of course now any link I click that goes in there results in an error. Oh well.
