I think you'll have to grapple with the nvidia vs ati for yourself. I've owned both and I recognize some of the benefits of a late model Radeon card, but if I was spending that at this moment I'd consider an Asus gf 4 ti series, especially if you want an oem copy of Morrowmind, heh.

I'll say the same thing I always say: check out e-bay. I was able to get a ti4400 about a month ago, new, sealed.

um 160, either a ti4400, or a 9500 pro, no im not a fanboy, but those were the only cards that pricewatch.com had in that range.

/me waits for the ATI freakazoids to scream 'get a 9500(pro

i will keep my eyes open for the fanATIcs :D

BTW the asus geforce4 is a great card, i know, i own one. Its game package is worth at least 50 bucks by itself. If i had not bought it i would never have tried morrowind (in my top 10 favorite games now). directx 9 games are so far in the future that nv40 will probably be out before most games begin using it.

New eggs ASUS geforce4 TI4200 8xs

I'd be the first one to say "Get a Radeon 9500 Pro" if you could actually get one for $160, but you can't, so the best card in that price range is the 128mb GeForce4 Ti4200.
