I want to capture my desktop (or an application window...) to a movie clip.

I have Asus V6800 Delux and can't use AsusLive "Capture" mode becouse the movie is captured with various distortions - but when I use the "Live" mode and playback the video - all is OK.

So I need a way to capture the AsusLive window (...my desktop/screen to a video clip)

PLEASE help.
Thanks :)

TechMaster, I think your Asus can do the job. I never tried to make a movie of an app or my desktop, but I know about the distortion you're talking about. If you can do what you need with a program like VirtualDub, you can use other codecs. The source of the distortion is probably the codec that Asus Live uses for capture, Asus ASV2. If you could get Live to use another codec like Huffy YUV or MJPEG, you won't have that distortion. I don't think there's any way to choose what Live uses, so your best bet is to find another capture program that can do what you want, and use one of those codecs. Good Luck.

plug in your video out on your tv-vcr and record it then capture the vcr playback to a file.
