Need a USB to TRRs adapter

Hi guys,

So the audio (sound and microphone) is broken on my laptop.
I've used this in the past:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0058P...pf_rd_i=507846

This works, but as you can see it goes from usb to microphone and headset (separate). I want one that is combined. I have the apple headphones that came with my iPhone and they have both headphones and mic built into one.

Can you guys point me to such an adapter that takes my single iPhone headphones (with mic) and converts it to usb?
My goal is use my apple headphones for both sound and microphone.

Thanks much!!

I very much doubt this exists (though would be interested if someone can find one). You can't just get an "adapter" which re-wires those 4 pins to a usb plug. It's an active component so there's a chip in there and converters and stuff. I suppose it sort of counts ad an adapter but not the way I see it...

If you really want to use your existing headphones you would need something like you linked above (usb "adapter"/interface/soundcard), plus a Y-peice with a female trrs (2.5 or 3.5mm?) & two male (probably 3.5mm trs) plugs. I don't know if these exist or if you would have to make one.

Best option would be to just get a whole new usb headset. Which would probly cost the same.
