Need a tv tuner without a pc to hookup my monitor.

I need a tv tuner (I'd like to keep it relatively cheap) that has vga output. I can't connect it to a computer so I need it all to come out of one box. It must have a remote. Any suggestions? Thanks

How well do those VGA converers work? I've heard some bad things about some of them

BTW I am planning on using Antenna and maybe I'll route a wire for cable(analog) later.

What kind of monitor do you have?

It might be cheaper to just get a regular tv than go through all this.

Yeah find a used 27" or so TV for $100 or less. If you gotta spend $50 or so to use your monitor may as well get the TV.

I watch cable through my monitor cause it came with the input, and a VCR is easily found... well had to pick up $10 worth of cables, and could use another $10 still.

It's a crappy old lcd (probably worth about 100 or less). It's going to go in the kitchen and I want to save space. I'm not planing on using it as my main tv.
