I had a monitor that I was using as a TV but it had some issues and luckily I purchased the performance plan from BB so I sent it in for repair and they just authorized a exchange, but there was no comperable replacement that they had so they gave me a full refund of the monitor plus the performance plan so I have about $400 on a gift card for BB and need some advice on a TV. Its going to be mainly used as a TV with a HD DVR Directv receiver.

Bedroom isnt that big so at most I will be sitting 5-6 feet away most of the time. I dont want to spend much more than what I have in the gift card, but for better quality I am willing to dish out up to $200 more for a total of $600. I dont have a brand preference but I wont buy the BB brands dynex/insignia. Any suggestions would be most appreciated, thanks!

Yeah, I was looking at that one and the LG, the LG is a bit more but it is a bit more aesthetically pleasing to me.

Anyone have any idea if prices are going to drop anytime soon on some of these older models that I should wait for?

In the past they ran the Sharp 32" for $399...maybe wait to see if the deal shows up again?

I just noticed that hhgregg has the LN32A450 for $499.97 and I could price match it to BB too. I might just have to jump on that. I am not a big fan of the sharp's because of the banding issue, I would gladly pay $100 more for a samsung. I also have a tigerdirect local to me but I didnt see anything there that I could pricematch

I would see if you can get them to match CC clearance sale of the 42 inch 80U Panny for $750. Although that's more than you wanted to spend by $150.

So in your budget, take a look at 32/37 inch and if you get the right deal you could find a 37 inch for that price.

Well, like I said its just a bedroom and I dont sit far so anything bigger than a 32" would probably be too big. I know for sure 40" is too big because I have had one temporarily in my room and it was just entirely too massive and I am sure 37" would be pushing it.

I will stop by CC and see if either they will take BB gift cards or if BB would PM, I am pretty sure all their TV's are gone though, but doesn't hurt to go take a look since they are Right by each other. I literally can park in one spot and walk to each one, lol.

Just got back and CC had nothing as I expected, I only saw a tag for the a550 for $712 but I dont think they had any in stock, but even if I could PM that price I still dont think it would be worth an extra $200+ just for a little better contrast and 1080p. So I picked up the 450, thanks for all the help guys!
