Need a topic for my macroeconomics paper

You could always do what everyone else is doing and write something about the Golden Rule savings rate. aka the thing that phelps won the nobel prize for.

in my [managerial] economics class i wrote on "mergers & acquisions".

not sure if that will work for you. good luck 🙂

The Shrinking Middle Class:
1. Is it shrinking or growing?
2. Repercussions of the chage.
3. Causes (and Solutions if needed).

Well, you could always do something related to the elections. For example, in California we just passed $30 billion or so in bond measures on top of our previous $100-ish billion debt. Or maybe look at trends in the economy depending on the party makeup of the white house and congress or something?

pmoa ,

It might help you to bolster your paper with facts you could get h e r e.

Nominated topic:
What happens to USA & world economy if China decides to buy less US debt?

And, how does that influence US posture toward China's
(a) pure totally evil handling of Tibet,
(b) China's likely squashing of Taiwan,
(c) China's current alliance building throughout South America, to the extent China may even provide "contract armies" for South American governments, and
(d) Ditto in Africa

Good luck on your paper. Maybe after you write it you could post Cliffs to it here.

scott I think that is the best topic right now...I will post the cliffs once I am finished. It is due on Thursday for my MBA class.
