Getting ready to start working on a paper for a law class. The teacher is asking us to give her a topic. She says it shouldn't be so narrow as the Lacy Peterson case, but not as broad as say gay rights. Any ideas? I need something that I can find plenty of info on, but is not really really broad.

If it has to be a specific case, i have no idea (maybe brown vs board of education), but how about success of public defense lawyers vs private?

interesting.... but i think it should be a topic that is broad enough where you could refer to several cases under it... say religion is public schools (although that may be a bit too broad)
