I've already hammered through Diablo II.

I was thinking of Baldur's Gate II (though I haven't played Baldur's Gate).

I don't know, does anyone have any suggestions? And/or where I can get the game for a good price.

Thanks.

Now that I just finished Baldur's gate 2 I'm in the same situation. I'd play BG2 is I were you. :)

Well I like games that can take months to finish.

I would recommend civiliation or Wasteland.

Good luck finding Wasteland though, it is really, really, really, really old.

Did you go through Nightmare & Hell in DII. There a whole new world of hurt.

Seriously though,
I am also looking for a new addiction. I started re-playing Total Annihilation again.

I've heard that Baulder's Gate is good but I have never tried it.

The ultimate time killer is probably Everquest though... go do a search with Everquest AND Addiction and you'll see what i mean.

Currently i'm playing BG2 with my girlfriend... way more fun when you're playing with two people.

OH GAWWWWWD, DON'T even talk to me about Everquest!!!

I want something that'll just be fun to play but at the same time I can easily turn off and go to bed.

Last time I was playing Everquest, I had to strip NEKKID before sitting down to play (to lessen the body sores from extended periods on the seat). I ain't goin back ta that!

I'm leaning towards the Baldur's Gate (I or II)

Hey Azazyel,

Do you know where to find Wasteland? I really miss that game, it was awesome!

Quest for Glory 1, 2, and 5
Space Quest 2, 3, and 4

Best RPGs ever, all over abandonware too... I actually have the legal copies of all of them though, cause I'm a sucker (for my Amiga :))

"Did you go through Nightmare & Hell in DII. There a whole new world of hurt."

man, that games got BORING fast, going through the same acts with the same monsters over and over and over and over.....

Deus Ex "IS" a way cool game which you would enjoy a LOT... IF, and that's a BIG IF... you have a smokin computer.. namely a Voodoo5 and 600+ MHZ (athlon preferred).
That game was developed with the UT engine, and for some reason doesn't play well in D3D but rather GLIDE (I hear).
I have a GTS card (D3D) +TB700 +256MB and it gets Very choppy in most scenes.

I played BG1 and lost interest in it once I discovered there were cheats... so IF you decide to get that game... TRY YOU BEST to avoid getting any cheat progs... Man, they just Ruin a game, but are so hard to resist when you get in a bind. :( I might give BG2 a try. I just have to avoid internet playing (cause that's where I got into the cheating)

I hugely recommend Serious Sam by Croteam. It's a first-person shooter boiled down to Doom-style twitch psychotics. I love it. The custom 3D engine is becoming legendary for it's huge, open, brightly-lit levels. Here's a link to where you can download the Serious Sam Test:

http://www.croteam.com/download_files.html

Doesn't take too killer of a computer to run it either. I'm waiting in eager anticipation for Test 2 now, which will include multiplayer.

Delta Force Land Warrior. Very fun game :)

Sort of like Rouge Spear, except more action oriented and more forgiving.

You can play a mission or two and then hit the sack.

You can get it for $27 this week at Best Buy.

I second the previous suggestions:

age of empires II
tony hawk pro skater 2

and add:
the sims
rollercoaster tycoon

(the two most addicting games and time wasters I know)

You can spend hundreds of hours playing this game if you fulfill every quest. 7 & 8 are shorter.

Heroes of Might & Magic 3 can also be a very good time killer, particularly if you make your own maps. :)
