Hey guys I have a setup right now that consists of this:

Mobo = Intel D975XBX2
Intel core 2 e4500 stock clocks
2 gigs of some patriot gaming ram
8600GT 512meg 128bit
550 watt antec neopower psu
and a 300 gig HD

Would it be worth me getting a better graphics card, something like the 4850 or maybe even a step higher while keeping this CPU if I overclocked it up to around 2.8ghz? I wasn't sure if it would make sense or not. I was also thinking of maybe selling that motherboard and getting a newer one that supports the 1333mhz instead because it seems that this one goes up to 1066. If I did that though, I would probably just go the I7 route and get one of those mobos. What do you guys think I should do in my shoes? I have about 200 bucks right now before selling any components. Thanks a lot!

Yes you are definately video card limited - any processor or motherboard upgrade would be almost useless in games until you get a better card. I think your board will in fact overclock to 333FSB, and you should be able to push 3GHz on that processor depending on the stepping, so those are fine. If you have any money left get a better power supply. Good power is important for overclocking plus you might need it for the new video card. I don't know how much $200 will get you in the US but it doesn't sound like you'll be left with much after buying the card... maybe best to save a bit more and buy quality...

Alright I think I'll just get a newer card and OC the CPU I have. Thanks for your suggestions guys.
