I need to write a story for kids about a dog. Its gonna be about 6 or 7 pages and 2 senteces per page. Then i will translate it to spanish, since this is for my spanish 2 class. The name i choose was skip, thus My dog Skip. Well i need an idea for a storyline, i have to talk about 4 things he did in a day, please help me think.

I never used to pay much attention when my friends would talk about their dogs having parasites, never really applied to me or my dog, Skip. But one day that all changed, when I woke up to the strange image of my dog dragging his arse around on the carpet...

Hmm 6 to 10 is a wide gap. Six yr. olds are barely out of kindergarten and by the time you're 10 you're reading quite a bit more advanced than you did at 6. Why not make a story about how Skip escapes from his pen in the back yard and goes on an adventure in some Spanish city. Make sure he gets home in the end though ;)

Another idea would be to have Skip going through the frustrations of learning the basic command "sit." Describe what he feels when he's not sure what his owner wants and how happy he is when he does learn it.

If neither of these appeal, let me know in what direction you want the story to head and i'll shoot out some more ideas.

>>>>>>>>WARNING: COPYING THIS STORY WILL GET YOU IN SERIOUS TROUBLE<<<<<
EDIT: PM me if you want it translated;)

MY PERRO SKIP

Skip huyo chillando. Que humillante!

PAGE 5: Skip decide cruzar la calle. Pero hay mucho trafico. NO, SKIP! NO LO HAGAS! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYY

PAGE 6: Mi nuevo perro "Tortilla" no sale de la casa mucho. Creo que el aprendio su leccion y no volvera a escaparse.

;););)FIN;););)

Seriously though all joking aside; maybe you could think of a story line about your dog's day out--he runs away from home and you can insert any number of adventures and misadventures that he encounters.
Yes, it's been done but you know. I can't think of anything else.
Good luck with your story and for Heaven's sake don't copy the one I just wrote! The teacher would flunk you for sure! :Q:D

chiwawa626: maybe Skip is on a rope and the knot comes undone???? I'm not a Spanish connisuer, perhaps Elita can help with that part? After he gets loose, he wanders off to say a downtown meatmarket and gets a few scraps from the butcher. Then he couls see a cat (the first one he's ever encountered) in an alley and goes running away with the thing hisses at him. Tired from running, he could come to a boy crying and lick his face until the boy's mother comes to get him. Finally he gets thirsty and wants to play with his big red ball so he finds his way back home safely.

Or you could set the big escape during a big spanish festival (dia de los meurtes (sp?) ..or is that mexican?) and describe all the decoration and sights that he sees. He could also snatch a plate of spanish food and you'd describe how he likes it.

Translation of My previous post story:

MY DOG SKIP

page1: one day my dog skip escaped from the house and decided to explore the city.

page2: He passed by little dog Lulu's house and asked her to join him but she refused and started barking. Skip went away, angered. "Bitch", thought Skip.

Page 3: Skip passed by an area of construction and decided that the foot of one of the workers was an excelent place to mark his territory.

page 4: Poor Skip! The worker kicked him very hard! Skip ran away yelping. How humiliating!

page 5: Skip decides to cross the street, but there is a lot of traffic. NO, SKIP! DON'T DO IT!!! AYYYYYYYYYYYY

page 6: My new dog "tortilla" doesn't leave the house much. I think he learned his lesson and won't escape again.

The END

;);););););)

There you go, azraele!
