Need a small and quiet system for my dad

My dad is trying to learn how to better use computers and he wants me to buy one for him. I haven't built a system or even kept up with hardware in nearly 2 years so I'm completely clueless as to what is good right now. I need something that is small, quiet, and extremely reliable. No gaming, just internet and basic office stuff.

Are there any good prebuilt SFF's out there that fit the bill?

Try over in the SFF, NOTEBOOKS, PRE-BUILT/BAREBONES PCS forum. I don't know much about SFF.

Just buy him a Dell. They have some low-end desktops that will fit the bill and they are quite computers.

I would recommend any PII or PIII you can get out there cheaply. You might be able to pick up one for a couple dollars.
Then install Linux Ubuntu which is free and with all its free software (basic office stuff).
One doesn't have to be a rocket scientist to use Ubuntu and is much easier for a noob to learn computers. Try it for awhile, and let him decide later where he want to go, once he gains experience.
I forgot to mention that the whole system would cost less than $100 at any thrift shop.
