I need to move a website and I'm hunting around for what other hosting companies have to offer.

What I'ld like to find is a website/forum that maintains up to date info and reviews of hosting companies. I want to read people's opinions not just "this company offers x,y,z according to their website".

ty in advance

99% of web host review web sites are nothing but paid advertising.

I would search Google and WHT.

What's your budget?

RossMAN Thanks for that link. It looks like just what I was looking for. I knew there'ld be people on the AT forums that would have a good link or two.

That's what I keep running into, paid advertising. I've tried to search with google but web hosting review site searches just return too much crap. I want to be able to read something like "I use company 'x', they've only had the server go down twice in the last year and each time we were only offline for about 30 minutes".

I have one website that the owners are paying $19.95 a month for but I've been told that I should be able to get the same services (*NIX server, MySQL, PHP) for less than $10 a month in todays market. When we signed up for the current hosting about 2 years ago the average basic hosting package didn't include MySQL and PHP support so we went with the second tier. I've looked around and it appears like MySQL, PHP is par for the course now so there's no need to be paying $19.95 a month anymore. However, I don't want to switch and end up with a crappy host and the site ends up being offline for 2 days on a fluke.

what size/bandwidth do you need? i am able to supply you with webhosting if you let me know what you are looking for.

MIKE

WHT is the closest you'd find in un-biased reviews. All hosting directories are paid for by advertising one way or another, so take those rankings with a grain of salt.
