Need a Senior Design project

I have to have a senior design proposal done by next wednesday and I still can't seem to figure out what to do. I wanted to do a multi-drive enclosure. Kind of like a normal hard drive enclosure, except this one would have four slots and be able to accommodate IDE, SATA, 44-pin IDE (laptop drives), and CD/DVD drives. Any combination. Also it would have a couple USB ports up front for thumb drives.

I thought it would be pretty cool for those who work at helpdesk or computer repair places. It would have sliding drawers so you just put the drive in and then push the drawer back in and it slides into place. Then just push a button to apply power.

It's a pretty trivial project because all I'd really have to design is a power controller. Everything else is already made. So my instructor thinks it might be a little "too" easy. Any ideas of something I could add to it?

Other than that, does anyone have any idea of something else to do? I've been raking my brain and every idea has been either too easy or too difficult. I'm focusing on embedded/real-time systems, so something in that area would be great.

Any help would be appreciated. Also bumps would be nice.

I'm a senior in Electrical Engineering at Utah State University. I'm specializing in embedded systems design/software. I have a 3.7 GPA and wipped my butt with my GRE scores cause that test SUCKS (well, I wanted to anyway). The design is only supposed to take around 240 hours total, that with design, research, and paperwork. Whole nine yards. Let me know if you need any other info.
