I bought one of those vantecs a while back, too noisy. I ended up using a copper enzotech, here you should find what you need.

Take off the HS, place it on the ground with a something under it. (cardboard) Take a large screwdriver and some heavy gloves. One by one angle the fins down by placing the screwdriver between a set of fins and leveraging it down. Depending on how much room you need you may have to remove the fins nearest to the pegs to avoid issues with the springs. This can be done by bending it back and forth until the metal breaks. If you feel the need to do this make sure you do it before you bend down the next fin. You will have trouble otherwise.
