Need a reliable 1 GB flash drive - something that won't stop working!

As I said, have lost a ton of data using, off all things, a SanDisk Titanium drive (you'd think that would make it more reliable, but HELL NO!). These things just stop working after a few weeks - are all flash drives this crappy?

Sadly, I need to have a portable drive for my job but it's gotta be more reliable than this! I did a quick look on Amazon and other people have had the exact same issue: I thought SanDisk was supposed to be good:

Anyway, I need something that will not fail mysteriously - any suggestions would GREATLY be appreciated. Thanks in advance...!

I have lexar.. the only time it failed was that I plug into someone's faulty USB port.. HOLY F, it shorted it right out and kill all my data..

They jab stuff in ther and the pins were not straight..

I had a sandisk flash before, 512mb, gave it to my sister and say use for transfer only.. nothing important.. i had a few sandisk flash fail on me, cf, sd, but all the old 64/256 models.

Are you removing the thumb drive correctly using the safe hardware removal? Sandisk supposed to be one of the best.
