Decided to look at building a new rig. All the pieces are easy picks for me except mobo and proc. I am going to do some research right now but thought I'd see if there is anything good out there that people know about already. I don't care about intel vs amd, I'll take any suggestion. I also don't need 20 cores, looking for cheap but solid. I don't need extras on a mobo, just the usual 4 RAM slots, sata ports, and onboard sound.
 
Nice combo. But the 555 is a dual core. Why not go for a Sandy Bridge dual core when they come out, that would offer much better performance
 
I just got a Calisto 545 and I unlock it to 4 cores, the Black level you are looking is a good overcloker and sure you will unlock those 2 other cores with that 870 board extra performance for free.
