I'm sick to death of fiddling with my VIA motherboard to try an get it to run one damn game smoothly. I have all the crap, including 256mb of PC100 memory, already in an old system (Intel PII 400, Intel SE440 BX MB). I'm making a system strictly for games--I'd use this one but it cripples the new Video Cards (V5-Gladiac)and the SE440BX won't take anything above PII 500.
SO...are there BX motherboards that can handle, say, a 700 or 800 mhz Coppermine and what's a good one?
I have seen more OE Exception errors in the last month than with my 4 previous computers over the past 10 years. Enough already...
thanks

If I were to buy a BX board right now it would be the MSI BXMaster... Promise ATA66 controller and 6 fully bus mastering PCI slots, 4 DIMM slots, decent FSB selection. The 6 fully usable PCI slots would be the clincher for me as I have a pretty large load of PCI cards.

Yes there are a lot of them..read the reviews and decide which suits your needs best.. I have used BE6 II, BX Master, and Aopen AX6BC Pro Gold..all worked well
