Need a recommendation for a scanner.

Budget is about $100.

Please recommend me a decent scanner for home use. Parents are asking me to get one.

Any recommendation would be helpful.

Thanks.

Not sure on exact models or anything, but I have always had really good luck with Hewlett Packard scanners for quality. Sorry it's a bit vague, just some guidance from my experience. My Canon one was good for £30 (about $50 at the time), but not as good quality as my more expensive HP.

My Epson Perfection 1260 PHOTO works very well and Epson always seems to rank high in comparison tests. I got mine new in sealed box for $45. shipped on ebay. It's a discontinued model with the slide and negative scanning attachments. The Canon scanners also do well in the comparisons.
. Click the link in my sig and you'll see some images from it (the pinout diagrams and the label view of a 3D object!).

If you are considering an Epson, stop by their web store (Clearance Center on the Home Page menu). You can get refurbs at excellent prices w/ free shipping too sometimes.
