Allrite here is the fan i have

Specs:
- 60mm
- 6800RPM
- 37.61CFM
- 46.5DBa
- .32A
- 3.84W

I need something a lot more quit than that (this biatch is looooud) i have already seen the forum which has the quiet fans. but again most of them dont have performance.

I have OC my PIII 700 to 903 at the moment.
give me advice on an alternative fan which has enough performance. I am willing to sacrifice performance for silence :)

BTW: it is alpha pep66 heatsink, can only fit 60 mm.

if u think there are other fans out there which will let me OC at that speed but r not as fast as the one i have - i will appreciate that too. again it should be silent.

Thanks

With a PEP66, all the airflow will have to go all the way through the heatsink, so you may not have to have as much airflow as you think. For a medium-power, medium-noise fan, the 23cfm Sunon is a possibility, or you can get almost as much airflow by running the YSTech 27cfm fan at only 7V, leaving you the option to crank it up to 12V again if you need the airflow on a hot day.

If you really want quiet without sacrificing performance, I would say convert to water cooling and use a 120mm Panaflo L1A fan at 7V for the radiator fan... but that would cost a lot.
