Okay, so I have this power supply:

I have this motherboard:

The motherboard has an EPS12V main connector which is 24-pin. It also has an 8-pin connector for the dual CPUs. I plugged both of those in from the PSU.

But, it also needs an EPS12V 4-pin connector to power the second 16X PCI-E slot (runs at 4x). Now, the PSU comes with two PCI-E power connectors, which are 6-pin. I plugged one into the video card in the first 16X PCI-E slot.

I'm installing a card into the other PCI-E slot, and the manual says I need to plug in power to the 4-pin in order for it to work. But I only have a 6-pin connector. It does fit, but is this OK to do?

PLEASE advise! :)

Comparing the PCI-Express and ATX12V pinouts, I would imagine the polarity would be reversed. You would also only ever be able to connect one of the 12 V pins, because the PCI-Express connector leaves one of the pins unconnected.
