need a psu under $70

eits

Lifer
can you guys suggest some good power supplies for under $70? i'd prefer a 500w psu, but i'll go as low as 480w. i just dont know what power supplies are good in that ballpark.

thanks

for like $80 you can get a nice tagan 480w, good ampage and quiet. otherwise a xclio 450w would be the best bang for the buck psu. keeleysam's psu would do fine, too.

What type of system do you have? It would help to slim down the criteria we're looking at here. Most of the time, Non-SLi AMD K7/K8 systems can ride on a quality 400watt power supply. Such as a Seasonic S12-430 watter. People over exaggerate the Wattage factor thinking 600 to 900 is what they need. Without knowing the principles of electricity.

List your system specs.

UltraC Connect = Powmax =

i was gonna go with ultra x-connect first, but then i heard from quite a few people that they're crap...

thanks for the input, however

system specs:

pentium m 760 (probably gonna sell it and get a 730)
asus p4gd1
1 gb (2x512) kingston hyperx pc3200ul
ati x850xt pe
philips 5.1 ultimate edge sound card

AT MWAVE, the Tagan power supply is 80 bucks, but there is a 10 dollar MIR so its actually 70. Get that. XCLio is a good brand too. Just remember that the tagan has a 3 year warrenty.

OCZ ModStream 450W. UV Reactive, lights, modular. MUCH better than that Ultra-X crap."

Yeah, but it's only 1 fan. I remember hearing somewhere that AMD suggests 2 fans (I think it was in my ASUS A8N-SLI manual), is that correct?

I like the SmartPower 2.0 series from Antec. I'm sure you can find it for about $70 after shipping.

hmmm... i checked out the modstream.... looks pretty sexy.... i like modular.....

do i have your all's endorsement?
