Need a program to tell me where the ram is going!

Hi,

I was running at 512 RAM and all of a sudden its at about 270 with nothing running but win 98se. I can't figure out what's eating up the ram. I reinstalled windows, didn't help. I went to msconfig and did away with all the startup programs, no help.

Anyone know of a program that can tell me how much ram all the individual programs and processes are eating up so I can figure out who the hog is?

you can try running cacheman to free up some ram. but sadly win98se is very poor at using ram and leaks like exon valdez.

I tracked the culpret down to my Soundblaster Live! card. I had been fooling with the synths on it, had loaded up some big soundfonts. It was loading all the soundfonts up before it booted up all the way. Sucking down nearly 200 mb of RAM! I ran through a virus check and was getting ready to pull the ram when a buddy at the N-Tracks forum gave me the heads up on the Live! Disabled it, I've got another sound card. Back up to 403.
