Title says it all. Some games have a built in screen shot feature but its only usable at certain times (wont let me do screenies of the in game map).
Many games just dont have it.
I'd prefer something that I can set up with my own hot key before I run the game, and just have to hit one or two buttons in game. Ideally it would let me take as many as I want and just keep putting them in the same directory without user input.
The main reason I am looking for this now is I cant find many good maps for Test Drive Unlimited.
I want to find everything as best I can, then take a screenie for each type of landmark (race, store, hitchhiker and so on).
The benefit of this is it could be done at 1600x1200 and look much better than most of the hand drawn maps I've seen so far.
Will post this here because I suspect the gamers of Anandtech probably know something that will work. Will post in Software for Windows (or move this thread) if I have to.
I ONLY WANT FREEWARE OR SHAREWARE. No paid programs.
Incidentally, ACDSee is no good. It requires you to hop back and forth between programs which can cause some games to freeze.
I want something specifically designed for gaming.
