Need a program to manage processes in task manager

My topic name might sound strange, but I'm looking for a program which would help me identify processes in my task manager. I need it to show which programs are responsible for which processes.
For example, when I open up my task manager I see six "svchost.exe" processes running. This is quite alarming since I always had only one. I heared that svchost.exe can be a masked trojan or a worm. I scanned my HD with Kaspersky Antivirus, and Spyware Doctor, and both programs did not find anything. Yet I know for sure that there are many processes running on my PC that shouldnt be there.
If you know a program that would help me identify, and/or root out these things, please let me know, since they take up quite a bit of memory.

I have five svchost.exes running. It's normal for XP. I think 2K only had one or prior to SP2 there was only one, or something like that. Nothing to worry about though, I've seen that on every clean install.

Ohhh..... I installed SP2 recently... no wonder!!!
Still I'd like to know EXACTLY which programs cause these svchosts and other processes.

Thanx JonnyBlaze, I'll check it out.
