Usually software temperature monitors aren't really reliable...
If Speedfan doesn't work, try MBM5, but there might not be a difference. Worst case scenario, keep staring at your bios or buy a fan controller with temperature monitoring.
i use mbm on my server that runs 24/7 and although i don't take its #'s at actual value, i do know if there is change so i know when to clean it out with air - 3-5C higher time to blow it out. as far as how accuarate it is, don't know and really don't care as the rig is orthos and memtest stable for more than 12hrs and it hardly ever gets taxed.
