I have 2 printers that I would like to share on my network. Network is a combination of wired and wireless computers, my switch is a D-Link DI-614+.

Anyone have any suggestions on what to buy?

Dedicated print servers are quite expensive, it is better to get a new router with printer port (these are a pain to set up) or a wired network printer

For a two computer setup, hook up the wired PC to a printer and share it

Print server's aren't too expensive. You should be able to pcik some up from newegg for pretty cheap. Are you using USB 2.0 printers? Or the old port ones(parallel?). Depending on which one you can buy a print server from D-Link that works pretty well.

The best solution is to get an Inexpensive Network printer (Or All in One).

Brother?s brand makes decent printers and All in One that are network capable and starts at $150. All in One that is Network capable means the capacity to use a Scanner, Copier, and Fax over the network. These devices usually are otherwise Not Network Capable.

Otherwise, get an inexpensive stand-alone printer server.

The generic printer servers might or might not support all of your printer functions, and do not support Scanning, Faxing, and coping at all.

Getting a Router with a printer server is a mistake; it reduces your flexibility to choose a good Router since there are only few Router's models with printer server. In addition, if you want to replace the Router you lose the printer server as well.

You can also pickup a couple of wireless print servers. They are not always the easiest things to configure but generally work once they are configured properly.
