I am going to be heading over to Italy in Sept and will be picking up a laptop for my relatives( 1/3 the cost here) Can anyone suggest a good power converter to use? The voltage there is 220V. Thanks

look at the ac/dc converter (the power brick). chances are it will accept 120-240V. then all you will need is a plug adapter. best buy and radio shack sell sets of them.

Check the power supply it should be able to take in the 220V power. Mine works just fine in Europe.

My power supply says 110-220v 50-60hz

i didn't have to use a power convertor for anything when I was over there. Most of our electronics can take in 110-240V. You probably need one for items such as a blowdryer though. Just go to radioshack and pick one up for 15 bucks

yup, my power supply brick says 100-240, it's for a Toshiba laptop bought in the US. i've used it in the US, Europe (a few cities and airports) and right now I'm posting with the same laptop, from Asia.
